PLOT:
Through analyzing a piece of the Thrasher shell, Alfred determines that the massive drilling machine is made from a hard and high tensile strength metal named Beryllium. He's able to trace
the Beryllium back to a manufacturing company by the name of PSM Global in Opal City. Strangely enough, Alfred notes, the VP of Operations at PSM is a man named Richard Benioff. Thirty years ago during his
days with MI-5 Alfred served with a man named Nigel who looked exactly like Benioff. The only problem is that the
man Alfred knew would be vastly older than the one he sees on the screen so he decides to investigate
himself.
Under the guise of a legitimate business proposal between Wayne Corp and PSM, Alfred manages to get himself a meeting with Benioff. During which he is able to ascertain that his old colleague is in fact sitting before him, looking
as though he hadn't aged a day in 30 years thanks to blood infusions from the Insiders! Alfred's meeting is cut short when one of the Insiders named Mallory arrives for a meeting with Benioff, but Alfred has already seen enough to warrant contacting the
Outsiders.
Conveniently enough, the Outsiders are already on their way to Opal City! Realizing that the Insiders are for whatever reason seeking out pieces of the Vandal Savage meteorite, they use Halo's power of
light wave manipulation to
focus a high intensity beam directly into Rex's chest (where their sample currently remains). By doing so they're able to track down the nearest meteor fragment on surface of the Earth - which just happens to be in Opal City.
What neither parties realize is that a third person has also made his way to Opal - Slade Wilson. Wilson watches as Mallory steps outside of PSM with Benioff. Once they are in range, Wilson fires several bullets into their bodies making sure that they
are both dead. When he comes down from his sniper's nest to confirm his kills, Alfred sends a fist into Wilson's jaw. Fortunately for Alfred, before Slade can return the favor he finds himself
surrounded by the Outsiders who look none to happy.
